VISION |
The purpose of the Long Island Chapter of the US Green Building Council is to mirror and advance the core purpose of the US Green Building Council locally; to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.
|
MISSION |
The USGBC-LI is committed to working with our fellow Long Islanders to improve our quality of life by improving the quality of the structures we build and the environment in which we all live, work and play. We are committed to leaving the world a little better than we found it so that future generations have an unfettered opportunity to do the same.

Feb 9th - Joint Meeting with ASHRAE Modeling a Sustainable World |
USGBC-LI and ASHRAE Long Island are invited to a special meeting with a presentation by ASHRAE National President Lynn G. Bellenger, P.E.
The presentation titled "Modeling a Sustainable World" will show that in energy simulation, daylight analysis, CFD and BIM software, we have powerful modeling tools that enable us to create and refine our vision of a building-its appearance, systems, operation and performance.
Those resources, used effectively in an integrated design process for new buildings and in analyzing retrofit opportunities in existing buildings, will help us guide building owners, architects, developers, and contractors in building orientation, shading, and shape and in selecting materials, windows, equipment, and systems that optimize building performance.
Wed Feb 9, 2011
6:00pm - 8:45pm
Westbury Manor 1100 Jericho Turnpike Westbury, NY 11590
